Meet The Team
Richard Sills
Gallery Manager
Richard joins Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery with a wealth of experience in the art world. As a third generation Gallerist and having worked with some of the world's top artists and modern masters, Richard feels he has found his career and life home in the beautiful Northern Rocky Mountains with Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery.
Richard brings his knowledge, humor, and natural ability to understand a wide variety of client’s art needs to help them enhance their collections.
“For me the art business is a service business. It is our privilege to help people enhance their home or workspace with beauty!”
Tara Ryan
Senior Art Consultant
Tara grew up in Ontario, Canada, and moved to a mountain town "for a winter" in 2003.
“I love everything about the mountains and when I'm not in the Gallery I'm out exploring or painting them. I studied Art and Marketing in College and have worked in those fields for the majority of my career. Seeing how a particular painting can overwhelm the viewer with pure joy is one of my favourite things about being an Art Consultant.”

Rebecca Larson
Art Consultant
An Idaho native, Rebecca was born into the art world. Raised within the Fine Arts Department at Idaho State University, a result of her mother serving as chair of the department, Rebecca developed a creative sense from an early age. After receiving a degree in Theater Arts and Dance, Rebecca moved to New York City where she pursued all forms of performance art, while also nurturing her passion for photography. After 13 years living in the urban jungle, Rebecca returned to Idaho to be closer to family and return to the mountain life she's always loved.
"Sun Valley has always been this amazing community full of creative energy. There is nowhere else in Idaho I would rather live and work. My love for nature and the arts makes this place perfect for those looking to enjoy a simple life filled with beauty and creative connections."

Tara Wolters
COO
Tara grew up on Vancouver Island and eventually landed in Vancouver to head to Business School. Craving the small town feel again, she moved up to Squamish and started working at Off Piste Fine Arts Ltd (DBA: Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery) as our COO. Bringing over 20 years of experience in luxury retail, distribution and management, she is excited to explore her new direction in the art world.
Andria Friesen
Advisory Board
With over 35 years of experience as a gallery owner, Andria's approach is intimate; she's kept a tight roster of artists, ensuring she understands the narratives of each artwork. Andria believes in the importance of the backstory, and it's this unique perspective that's formed the core of her previous gallery's mission in Ketchum and Seattle (Friesen Gallery). Andria has graciously accepted working as an advisor for the Sun Valley Contemporary Gallery.
In 2009 Andria composed and published Speak For The Trees. A 200-page hardcover book featuring 76 important artists from around the world and poignant offerings by 70+ significant authors throughout history.
